This knife looks and operates better than the pictures give it credit . The handle feels sublime and the knife has heft without being heavy. I ordered to give to my wife, but I may have to order a second one for me.

The cleaver has solid forward weight and remains sharp through plenty of mincing/slicing. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Forged German stainless steel feels toe-balanced upon "swinging"...which is great when having to cleave a lot. The handle sits in palm well..no slippage.
I love using this cleaver to get through all different kinds of meat and the more weight of it make it easier. The handle is so comfortable and I can get a good grip on the knife so that I feel very secure.
This cleaver can get through meat, bone, tendons, really anything. It is made from German Special Formula Steel, also forged from one piece of steel so durable for a lifetime. It is also ice hardened so blade will stay sharper for a longer period. The handle is comfortable and lightweight, a nice option compared to other heavy handle knives.
Perhaps my expectations were off, but I was looking for a heavy cutting implement to make my way through very heavy gourds and bone. The edge seemed dull compared to my Chef's knife (my go to standard). The Chef's actually works better and provided better control.
